Television news reports indicate that flames broke out on Friday night shortly before 11 pm at the Dept of Community and Natural Resources bldg, located along old Rt. 153 near 4 Mile Road. Very few details were released about the fire, except to say that when firefighters arrived on scene, the building was heavily engulfed in flames. Multiple fire hose lines were put into service to contain the flames, which took about 3 hours. No injuries were reported and a state police fire marshal will investigate.
