WJAC reports that a Bedford County judge has dismissed the sentence against Heather Schade, for her role in the 2017 murder of Gary Shriver. Schade pled guilty to conspiracy to commit 3rd degree murder, as part of her plea agreement to testify against two other defendants, James Wallace and Devonta Gaines. The judge ordered Schade’s sentence dismissed and that she be brought back to the Bedford County jail, and her case was to be placed back on the active criminal trial list. The judge said the reason for the ruling was that the original case was mishandled by former District Attorney Leslie Childers-Potts.
