Nearly 100 criminal cases in Centre County are under review after former Spring Township officer Stephen Kutches admitted to filing false reports and misconduct, prompting the state Attorney General’s office to join the investigation. District Attorney Bernie Cantorna confirmed that four DUI cases have already been dismissed, and dozens more are being scrutinized because Kutches can no longer testify, following his resignation on April 18th. More cases are expected to be dismissed as prosecutors review evidence, with notifications already sent to defense attorneys regarding the tainted cases.
