News reports say that the developer who submitted plans for the large project for Benner Twp has withdrawn those plans as of yesterday. The reason for the withdrawl is not known, nor is the identity of the person or persons behind the proposed warehouse. One representative of Suncap property group sent the formal withdrawl papers to the Centre County planning office. The warehouse was going to be built on a 103 acre parcel of land. Commissioners said earlier this week that they were not comfortable not knowing the person behind the idea, or what was the intended use of the facility. With something this large, more information should have been made available.
