According to a report by WTAJ, police have arrested 64 year old Samuel Zaffuto of Dubois and charged him with stealing money from the Christ the King Manor retirement community police say that during an investigation, more than $169,000 was reported missing from the manor’s funds. Police say that Zaffuto was diverting funds from the manor into an account labeled as charities accounts. Zaffuto is accused of using that money to purchase a pickup truck, using the money for his own personal well being and to pay employees of the manor to attend state conferences. Zaffuto was CEO from 2004-19, and is charged with numerous counts of theft, fraud, conspiracy and corruption among others.
