A report by the Associated Press indicates that Commonwealth Court Judge Ellen Ceisler issued her ruling yesterday to stop plans for tolling 9 bridges to increase revenue for PennDot. Cumberland County and other municipalities in the state filed a challenge to the proposed tolling efforts as both illegal and unconstitutional. All work including meetings, hearing, right of way acquisitions, construction, and studies that was being done for the project has now stopped due to the judges order. PennDot has the right to appeal the decision, and could take their case to the state supreme court.
