Details are very thin this morning, but news reports indicate that the fire occurred at a home on the 200 block of Bald Eagle Sportsmen Road shortly after 11 am yesterday. Fire officials say that the home appears to have been totally destroyed. Blair County Coroner Patty Ross did confirm to television news that one person died in the fire. No information on the victim was available. Investigators will now try to determine the cause of the deadly blaze.
